A total of 434 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 and two infected persons have died in the past 24 hours.
The total number of cases now has risen to 11,162, according to the Health Ministry. Similarly, one person in Pokhara and one in Kathmandu have succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours.
A 49-year-old man from Chitwan died at the Patan Hospital. The man, who tested positive a few days back, had a kidney transplant five months back.
Similarly, another infected man died at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara Wednesday night.
The 55-year-old man from Sirubari, Syangja, admitted at the hospital on June 22, breathed his last at 11:35 Wednesday night, the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences said issuing a statement on Thursday.
The man was suffering from diabetes and pneumonia, and was on ventilator at the hospital.
The death toll of COVID-19 in Nepal has now reached 26.
