A man who died after falling ill while in quarantine in Arghakhanchi has posthumously tested positive for COVID-19.
The 57-year-old man from Malarani rural municipality-4 had fallen ill while in quarantine and had died at around 11 Wednesday morning while returning home after treatment in Butwal. Assistant Chief District Officer of Arghakhanchi Bikram Thapa told Setopati that he tested positive.
The man had returned from India on May 28 and was in the quarantine facility in the rural municipality. He was taken to Arghakhanchi Hospital after suffering from respiratory problems on Tuesday.
He was referred to Butwal from there. He died on Wednesday while returning home after treatment there, according to Thapa.
This is the 16th COVID-19 death reported in Nepal.
