189 test positive, total crosses 1,400

Kathmandu, May 30

Nepal registered the biggest single day rise in COVID-19 cases for the second consecutive day with a whopping 189 persons testing positive on Saturday.

Spokesperson at the Health Ministry Dr Bikash Devkota said the newly infected persons include 185 men and four women.

The total number of persons diagnosed with COVID-19 in Nepal has now reached 1,401. Six persons have succumbed to the virus until now while 206 have recovered.
