The total number of persons diagnosed with COVID-19 in Nepal has crossed 1,000 with a whopping 156 persons testing positive on Thursday.
The total number of infection in Nepal has now reached 1,042, according to Spokesperson with the Health Ministry Bikash Devkota.
Twenty-nine of the new cases are from Dhanusha, 25 from Jhapa, 20 from Rautahat, 17 from Mahottari, 14 from Saptari, 13 from Surkhet, eight from Dailekh, seven from Sarlahi, six from Siraha, three each from Syangja and Bardiya, two each from Kailali and Dolakha, and one each from Darchula, Nawalpur, Makwanpur, Banke, Solukhumbu and Bajhang.
Five persons have succumbed to the virus until now while 187 have recovered.
