Man who returned from Maharashtra dies in isolation ward of Seti Hospital

A man who had returned from Maharashtra, India on Tuesday has died in the isolation ward of Seti Provincial Hospital in Kailali Wednesday morning.

The 50-year-old man of Gauriganga municipality 7 in the district had returned from Maharashtra, the Indian state hit hardest by COVID-19, on Tuesday. The man hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after health problems has died at six Wednesday morning, according to information officer with the hospital Dilip Shrestha.

The man was brought to the hospital after he had seizure at the Gauriphanta border point.

"He did not show any COVID-19 symptom. The rapid diagnostic test returned negative result but we cannot say anything until PCR result arrives," Shrestha added.
