Thirty persons have tested positive taking the total number of persons diagnosed with COVID-19 in Nepal to 487.
The new cases have been confirmed by the National Public Health Laboratory, Kathmandu and the Bharatpur Hospital, Chitwan, according to the Health Ministry.
Fifteen of the new cases are from Sarlahi with 14 men aged 22-39 years and an 18-year-old girl. Nine are from Kapilvastu including eight men aged 24-53 years and an eight-year-old girl. Similarly, three men and a woman from Nawalparasi, and one man and woman from Bharatpur have also been infected.
Health of all 30 persons is normal and they are in contact with health professionals, according to the ministry.
