Nepal has reported the third COVID-19 death on Thursday. TheHealth Ministry in the afternoon confirmed that the man from Gulmi undergoing treatment at Crimson Hospital died in the morning
The Social Development Ministry of Province 5 issuing a condolence statement earlier in the day had confirmed that the 41-year-old man from Madane rural municipality of Gulmi passed away Thursday morning.
The statement signed by Social Development Minister Sudarshan Baral says the teacher passed away at Crimson Hospital in Tilottama, Rupandehi where he was being treated.
The man, who was confirmed infected on Monday, had been admitted at the hospital since May 14 with fever and flu symptoms. He was under ventilator at the Intensive Care Unit.
This is the third COVID-19 death in Nepal.
The government on Saturday had confirmed that the 29-year-old new mother from Ramche in Bahrabise municipality, Sindhupalchowk was the first to die of COVID-19 in Nepal on Thursday. The 25-year old man who died while quarantined in Banke on Sunday was the second.
