12-day kid of deceased, three other family members in isolation at Dhulikhel Hospital

The 12-day kid of new mother who died of COVID-19 and three others from her family have been kept in the isolation ward of Dhulikhel Hospital.

The three other family members include husband, mother and sister of the deceased. "They all are in hospital since Friday. We have collected swab for test. Reports will probably arrive by tomorrow," Hospital Spokesperson Suman Raj Tamrakar told Setopati.

The government on Saturday confirmed that the 29-year-old woman from Ramche in Bahrabise municipality, Sindhupalchowk died of COVID-19.

The woman was brought to the Dhulikhel Hospital after respiratory problems. The hospital says she breathed her last while being taken to the emergency ward. She was brought to the hospital on Thursday.

She had a delivery at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) nine days ago and returned home. She was taken to Dhulikhel after suffering respiratory problems at home.
