The body of new mother of Sindhupalchowk district who died in Dhulikhel has been brought to Pashupati Aryaghat for cremation.
A team of Nepal Army and Nepal Police brought the body to Kathmandu Saturday night, according to chief of Kavre Police Ravi Kumar Paudel. "We have sent the body on a hearse. Army and police escorted the hearse," Paudel said.
The 29-year-old woman from Ramche in Bahrabise municipality, Sindhupalchowk is suspected to have died of COVID-19.
The woman was brought to the Dhulikhel Hospital after respiratory problems. The hospital says she breathed her last while being taken to the emergency ward. She was brought to the hospital on Thursday.
She had a delivery at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) nine days ago and returned home. She was taken to Dhulikhel after suffering respiratory problems at home.
The hospital had collected swab from her but the government have yet to reveal result of the PCR test confirmed.
