The second of the two COVID-19 patients who had absconded from the Narayanai Hospital on Wednesday has also been taken under control after relatives called the police.
"We took him under control from the house of his maternal uncle at around nine Wednesday night," Chief of Parsa Police SP Durga Panta told Setopati. "We had deployed his relatives in search and we found him with help of the relatives."
SP Panta revealed that the patient had not touched anyone after absconding. "He had not come into contact with anyone but we disinfected the house for safety Wednesday itself."
The other of the two absconding patients was taken under control earlier on Wednesday. The other, who was under investigation in a narcotic drugs case, was arrested by the police.
