Twenty-four persons have tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday evening taking the total number of infection in Nepal to 243.
The new cases have been confirmed in the National Public Health Laboratory, Kathmandu and the Provincial Public Health Laboratory, Rupandehi, according to the Health Ministry.
Twelve of the infected persons are from Rupandehi district, eight from Kapilvastu, three from Parsa and one from Nawalparasi.
Two more had tested positive earlier on the day.
Health of all 24 is normal and they are in contact with health professionals, according to the ministry.
