Curfew in Birgunj after 39 test positive in a day

The Parsa District Administration has imposed curfew in the district effective from eight Tuesday night after 39 tested positive for COVID-19 in a single day.

Assistant Chief District Officer Lalit Kumar Basnet told Setopati that nobody can go out of the house except for delivery of essential services including medical treatment.

Army will similarly be deployed to patrol the settlements under high risk including Chhapkaiya of Birgunj.

All kinds of vehicles apart from those used by health professionals and security persons will also barred from the streets.

The border points have been sealed and security persons have been deployed on a large scale to stop entry of people from anywhere. People from other districts similarly will not be allowed into Parsa until May 18.
