The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order instructing the government to take initiative to bring Nepalis abroad for foreign employment under risky conditions.
Hearing a writ petition filed by advocate Som Prasad Luitel, Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla on Thursday has instructed the government to take initiative to bring them back without any discrimination and whims putting some conditions.
It has also instructed the government to prepare report of the Nepalis working in countries suffering from COVID-19 pandemic and prepare health report of infected Nepalis, and find out whether they have been provided treatment as per the standard of the World Health Organization (WHO) or not.
It has asked the Foreign Ministry to do necessary coordination to ensure that they receive treatment without any discrimination.
