500 households in Sun City to be tested

The government will test all 500 households of the Sun City Apartments in Pepsi Cola, Kathmandu after two out of the three from a family have tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

An 81-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man staying in Sun City after returning from London have tested positive, according to the Health Ministry. They are being treated at the Patan Hospital.

"Test of people staying at Sun City has started Tuesday itself," the ministry has stated. "We have also started to track those who may have been in contact with them."

Mayor of Kageshwori Manohara municipality, where Sun City is situated, Krishna Hari Thapa told Setopati that well over 1,000 persons of around 500 households stay there. "We are preparing to test everyone from Sun City," Thapa added.
