Samples of three Indians staying in Birgunj have been sent to Kathmandu for retesting of COVID-19.
The administration had made arrangements for tests after locals informed about 24 Indian nationals staying at a mosque in Chhapkaiya, Birgunj-2. A team of Narayani Sub-regional Hospital had extracted their swab and sent that to the laboratory in Hetauda.
"Three persons have cough. We have kept them in isolation at the hospital," Medical Superintendent at the Narayani Hospital Dr Madan Kumar Upadhyay told Setopati. "We have sent the remaining 21 to quarantine."
Sources at the laboratory in Hetauda claimed that the three have tested positive and the samples have been sent to Kathmandu for confirmation.
The samples have reached the National Public Health Laboratory Saturday morning.
Dr Upadhyaya said the Indian nationals from New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh have claimed that they have remained in Nepal for the past four months.
