Shankar Group owner Sulabh Agrawal arrested on charge of price gouging

Kathmandu, April 7

Owner of Shankar Group and promoter of Jagadamba Steels and Cement Sulabh Agrawal has been arrested on charge of price gouging on Tuesday.

A team of Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested Agrawal from Naxal. Chief of the division SSP Sahakul Thapa told Setopati that Agrawal has been accused of selling thermal guns that cost Rs 3,000 per unit at Rs 15,000.

Agrawal, the honorary consul of Kyrgyzstan in Nepal, was also accused of involvement in black-marketing of masks recently but was not punished then.
