Three more Nepalis have tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday taking the total number of infected persons in Nepal to nine.
One is a 21-year-old man who returned from Mumbai, India, another a 41-year-old man who returned from Uttarakhand and the third a 34-year-old woman, sister-in-law of the previously infected man from Kailali who had returned from UAE, according to the Health Ministry.
The 34-year-old woman is the first case of local transmission in Nepal. All eight previously infected, including the two confirmed Saturday, have a history of travel to an affected country.
All the three are in isolation at the Seti Provincial Hospital having been admitted on Saturday. The health of all three persons is normal, according to the hospital.
