A man kept in isolation in the temporary coronavirus hospital in Butwal has died on Sunday.
Baburam Thapa, 34, of Sainamaina municipality, who had returned from Dubai on March 19, breathed his last while preparations were on to shift him to the intensive care unit (ICU), according to focal person at the Lumbini Provincial Hospital Dr Sudarshan Thapa.
He had fever when he arrived and had been on medicines at home, according to Dr Thapa, and came to the hospital only on March 24 after his health deteriorated. "He had no underlying health condition," Dr Thapa added.
He revealed that the patient's swab was sent for test in Kathmandu immediately after being admitted at the hospital but report has yet to arrive. "We have been told that the report will arrive by Monday."
