Govt to give jobs to those deprived of foreign employment due to pandemic

The government will provide jobs to those who have been deprived of foreign employment due to coronavirus pandemic.

Addressing the weekly press conference at the Singha Durbar on Thursday, Government Spokesperson and Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada said the government will provide jobs to such youths under the Prime Minister Employment Program.

"The government will provide employment to those who wish to work if they enlist," he stated.

He said the government can only provide petty jobs for now and cannot employ those who wish to do table work only.

Many youths have been affected after countries banned entry of Nepali workers following coronavirus pandemic.
