Two Nepalis, who have returned from China and South Korea, have been kept at the isolation ward in Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Teku on suspicion of coronavirus infection.
Hospital spokesperson Dr Anup Bastola told Setopati that the two have been kept in isolation after suffering fever and showing symptoms of flu. Swabs of throat and nose have been collected from the duo and sent to the National Public Health Laboratory to test for COVID-19.
Bastola revealed that the person coming from China has been kept in isolation since Saturday and the one from Korea from Sunday.
Both of them had reached the hospital as they had flu and had returned to Nepal less than 14 days ago.
Only one person has been confirmed infected in Nepal even as 21 persons have been kept in isolation until now.
