The government is preparing to keep the Nepalis to be rescued from Wuhan at the apartments in Ichangu Narayan in Nagarjun municipality of Kathmandu.
The government has decided to send a chartered flight to the Chinese city of Wuhan, the place of origin of the new coronavirus, to bring Nepali nationals stranded there.
The rescued Nepalis will be kept at the apartments in Ichangu Narayan until their test reports arrive. The government is preparing to ask the Nepal Army to make arrangements to keep the rescued persons safely in the apartments.
"There are talks about keeping the rescued persons in the Ichangu Narayan apartments. The government has yet to formally instruct the army about that. We are ready if we receive instructions," an NA source told Setopati.
The then Baburam Bhattarai government had built the apartments in Ichangu Narayan at a cost of Rs 120 million for resettlement of the squatters removed from the banks of Bagmati river seven years ago.
There are more than 100 flats in the apartment blocks built at two places in Ichangu Narayan.
