The 122 Chinese nationals arrested from different parts of Kathmandu two weeks ago have been released after paying a fine of Rs 1,000 each.
The Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu on Sunday had submitted investigation report to the District Administration Office through the District Attorney Office charging them of improper conduct.
Chief District Officer (CDO) Janak Raj Dahal hearing the case ordered the Chinese nationals to pay a fine of Rs 1,000 each. They have been released after paying the fine.
The police are preparing to hand them over to the Immigration Department Sunday itself.
The Chinese nationals were arrested in coordination with the Chinese security personnel, who had arrived in Kathmandu, for carrying out illegal activities by opening office having arrived here on visit visa.
