The Judicial Council (JC) has recommended six new district judges on Tuesday.
The JC meeting on Tuesday has recommended judges for Bhojpur, Rukum, Solukhumbu, Dolpa, Jhapa, Banke and Saptari districts.
Registrar at the Butwal bench of Tulsipur High Court Gehendra Raj Panta has been recommend to Bhojpur, deputy registrar at the Supreme Court (SC) Bidya Raj Paudel to Rukum, deputy registrar at the SC Mahendra Raj Kafle to Solukhumbu, registrar at the Mahendranagar bench of Dipayal High Court Tek Raj Joshi to Dolpa, and deputy registrar at the SC Indira Sharma to Jhapa. Deputy registrar at the SC Man Kumari GM BK, meanwhile, has been recommended to Banke and deputy registrar at the SC Rit Kumari Bakhrel to Saptari.
The seven will be appointed by Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana.
The JC has also transferred five judges. Khil Raj Regmi has been transferred to Bara from Bhojpur, Amrit Bahadur Basnet to Jhapa from Solukhumbu, Ambika Prasad Niraula to Kathmandu from Nawalpur, and Tej Bahadr Khadka to Morang from Dolakha.
The JC meeting on Tuesday, however, could not recommend justice to the SC to replace Kedar Prasad Chalise who retired on November 19.
