17 killed in bus accident in Arghakhanchi

Kathmandu, Nov 27

Seventeen persons have been killed on the spot in a road accident at Narpanu of Sandhikharka municipality-6 of Arghakhanchi district Wednesday evening.
The accident took place when a bus (Lu 2 Kha 2148) heading toward Butwal from Sandhikharka fell some 300 meters off the road on a turn near Narpani bazaar. Ten of the deceased passengers are men and seven women.
The deceased persons have yet to be identified. The injured persons have been sent to Butwal for treatment. Details of the accident are awaited.
Nepal Army, Nepal Police and locals are carrying out the rescue operation.
