Four persons have been killed and over 15 more are missing after a landslide dam outburst flood in Dordi river, Lamjung on Wednesday.
"We have received information that a sudden flood swept away workers working on a hydropower project," Chairman of Dordikhola rural municipality Om Bahadur Gurung told Setopati. "Four bodies have been recovered until now. Over 15 more are missing."
The deceased have yet to be identified.
Chairman Gurung said the flood resulted after a dam created on Dordi river following landslide across the mountain burst. He added that most of those swept away by the flood are workers working for Liberty Hydropower Project.
A police team including the Chief District Officer (CDO) has left for the site of incident, according to Assistant CDO Anil Kumar Shahi.
