Three Nepalis have been killed in a fire that engulfed an apartment for migrant workers in Kuwait Saturday night.
Bijay Baitha of Sarlahi, and Apsara Kami and Guari Darji have been killed in the fire, according to the Nepali Embassy in Kuwait.
A few others were injured in the fire at the apartment but whether they are Nepalis or not has yet to be determined, Assistant Spokesperson at the Foreign Ministry Suresh Adhikari said quoting the embassy.
Twelve person have been rescued from the fire.
Many Nepali workers stay in the Mahabullah area where the incident happened, according to the embassy. The reason behind the fire has yet to be known.
