Senior leader of Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Poudel, has said the birthplace of Aadikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya, Chudi Ramgha of Tanahu, could be promoted as a literary tourist destination of the country.
Inaugurating a bridge connecting Chudi of Bhanu municipality and Barbhanjang in the district Sunday, senior leader Poudel viewed that a perspective plan could be prepared for the development of Chudi Ramgha as a tourist destination.
"We had prepared a perspective plan for the development of the birthplace of Bhanubhakta, but the politics took a different mode, thereby keeping it in shadow," he said, adding if the locals were ready to work together for it, he could take a lead.
He further said even the commitment was made from the international level for the investment at Chudi Ramgha.
On a different note, the leader said agricultural revolution, energy development and tourism could boost national economy.
On the occasion, Gandaki Province Assembly member, Sarita Gurung, hoped that with the construction of the bridge, tourism development at Bhanubhakta's birthplace would gain pace. The bridge was constructed in two years at the cost of 28 million.
