One dies after jumping off jeep

A person died in Baitadi while jumping off a moving jeep. The deceased has been identified as Raj Koli, 40, of Pancheswor rural municipality-6, confirmed Netra Mani Giri, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Baitadi. Koli was said to have jumped off the jeep (Ma 1 Ja 119) en route to Dehimandu from Giregada on Tuesday evening. Critically injured Koli died on the way to the District Hospital. Jeep driver Janak Joshi fled the scene after Koli died on the way to hospital. However, police took the jeep driver under control. Investigation into the incident is underway, said the District Police Office, Baitadi. The body has been kept at District Hospital for post mortem.
