Water tanker-hit kills woman in Sundhara

A woman was killed when a tanker carrying water hit the motorcycle she was traveling in at Sundhara on Friday morning. 23-year-old Sunita Khatri of Panauti-10, who was riding pillion on the motorcycle (Ba 37 Pa 1166) was hit by the tanker carrying water with registration number Na 2 Kha 4222 coming from Nagasthan towards Bir Hospital at 10:15 am Friday, informed Chief at Traffic Police Office police inspector Raj Kumar Rawal. Rawal said that Khatri, who was critically injured in the accident, was immediately taken to Trauma Center but breathed her last while undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, the motorcyclist Ram Sharan KC is undergoing treatment. Police have detained the water tanker driver and investigation is on.
