The Department of Survey under the Land Management and Poverty Alleviation of the Province-5 handed over land use instruments to all 10 local levels of the district.
The Department distributed the instruments to the local governments amidst a program on Wednesday.
Each local level was provided with a separate set of updated land policy, report, geographical map and statistics related to local level.
On the occasion, the Department also sensitized the Chief, Deputy Chief and representatives of all 10 local levels to implement land use policy within own area. At the program presided over by District Coordination Committee Chief Jitendra Man Nepali, Survey Officer of Province-5, Pratima Basnet said the government-prepared statistics contains information on classification of agriculture, tourism, industrial and public land, widening of the agro land and environment-friendly use of land.
She said the set of statistics and data would be easier for the local levels to design and deliver development interventions in their areas. At the program, State Assembly member of Province-5 Amar Bahadur Dangi expressed concern over the ruining of fertile land and urged all local levels to take special measures to protect agro land in their territory.
