Ultra-light aircraft crashes in Pokhara airport

An ultra-light aircraft, Gyrocoptor, has crashed at Pokhara airport at 1:45 pm Tuesday. The ultra-light craft crashed as it overshot the runway while landing. The gyrocoptor had landed after taking a tourist for a sight-seeing around Pokhara city, said Kashinath Poudel, the administrative officer at the Pokhara airport. According to Poudel, the pilot of the ultra-light aircraft, French national Capt Eric and a tourist Anis Bhattachan were on board. Both are safe. Pokhara airport office stated that the gyrocoptor has been slightly damaged in the mishap. Its wing has broken and cockpit windshield shattered.
