At least four Dang-based leaders of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) were injured when the car that they were traveling in was rammed by a truck at Deurali of Shitganga municipality-8 in Arghakhanchi district on Wednesday afternoon.
The injured leaders are Shiva Kumar Acharya, Laxman Sharma, Manohar Budhathoki and Shivananda Dangi of Dang district.
Meanwhile, District Police Office, Dang informed that Budhathoki and Sharma sustained serious injuries in the accident. They were taken to Kohalpur Medical College based at Banke for further treatment.
According to police, Sharma sustained injuries at his back whereas Budhathoki in his face. The police, however, informed that all the injured passengers are out of danger.
The leaders along with Chief Minister of Province 5 Shankar Pokharel were heading to Butwal in separate vehicles.
Police informed that the accident occurred when the car (Ba 18 Cha 125) in which leaders were traveling in collided with the truck (Na 6 Kha 4349) coming from opposite direction.
