The Rural Development Service Center (RDSC), working in the district for long, has provided disaster management materials to seven locals in the district.
Five folding stretchers, four sleeping bags, three mattress, two first aid boxes, two pairs of gloves, a headlight were provided to each local level under the adaptation related project.
Dipayel Silgadhi municipality, Shikhar municipality, Adarsha rural municipality, Sayal rural municipality, Badekedar rural municipality, Purbichauki rural municipality and Jorayal rural municipality received the disaster management materials, said adaptation officer of the Center, Rajesh Sharma.
RDSC Vice-Chairman Bharat Bahadur Kathayat said that disaster management materials would also be handed over to other local levels as well.
The equipment worth Rs 800,000 were provided with an objective of helping people in rescue and relief operation during the disaster.
The project has been working in the sector of reducing disaster risk, adaptation as per climate change, agriculture micro-finance, nutrition and health for long.
