Private media has been refused entry to inauguration of a new building organized by the Nepal Army on Tuesday.
President and commander in chief of Nepal Army Bidya Devi Bhandari is scheduled to inaugurate the building constructed by employing modern technology amidst a special ceremony Tuesday at the Nepal Army headquarters.
This is is believed to be the biggest project, out of those approved by the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), to have been completed in time meeting the required standard.
The construction works began on June 6, 2016 and 400 persons continuously worked on the project to complete it in two years and ten months.
The government had allocated Rs 3.44 billion through the NRA, the government body formed to carry out post-earthquake rebuilding works, to undertake the project.
A total of 47 offices including the Nepal Army Directorate General, departments and other directorates will operate from the building built integrating seven separate blocks.
