One killed as car hits bike after dropping ex-King Gyanendra at airport

One person was killed and another seriously injured when a car returning from Biratnagar Airport after dropping former King Gyanendra Shah off at the airport hit a motorcycle on Wednesday night. The car (Ba 3 Cha 7962) returning from TIA hit the motorcycle (Ko 15 Pa 9978) coming from opposite direction at Budhabare Chowk of Sundarharaicha municipality-4 of Morang district at 9 pm Wednesday. The motorcyclist Prakash Chaudhary,22, of Itahari Sub-metropolis-8 and pillion rider Hem Chaudhary, 22, were seriously injured in the accident. Both the persons were immediately taken to Nobel Hospital, Biratnagar for further treatment but Hem Chaudhary breathed his last on Wednesday night. The driver of the car was detained for investigation.
