Industrialist Diwakar Golchha has passed away in India Tuesday night.
Golchha breathed his last just two weeks after he had a kidney transplant in Chennai, India. He was 67.
Golchha Organization started by Ram Lal Golchha of Biratnagar is one of the leading industrial houses in the country. Ram Lal had two sons—Hulas Chandra and Hans Raj. Diwakar is son of Hans Raj.
Diwakar had played a leading role in starting the factories of Hulas corrugated sheets, Hulas wires, and sugar and food grains. He is former vice president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries and elder brother of its current first vice-president Shekhar Golchha.
He was elected to the First Constituent Assembly (CA) in 2008 by Nepali Congress (NC) through proportional representation system.
Diwakar's body will be brought to Kathmandu Wednesday day itself and he will be cremated on Thursday, according to family sources.
