A police constable, who was also sitting for Secondary Education Examination (SEE), is found to have been involved in leakage of question papers in Province 2.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), that was entrusted by the government to investigate into the case, has detained police constables from Area Police Office, Kalyanpur in Siraha Brahma Dev Sunrait and Dipendra Kumar Mandal.
Two separate committees formed by the National Examination Board (NEB) and Province 2 government to investigate the scam are also questioning the two detained police personnel.
The CIB is conducing further investigation against one police personnel, who was also an SEE examinee, and the other one who clicked photographs of the question papers. Both the constables have been brought to the central office of CIB in Kathmandu.
"We're investigating how they leaked the papers and to whom they distributed the papers," a CIB source told Setopati.
The question papers meant for Janata Mandal and Radu Secondary School were kept at the Kalyanpur Area Police Office but the examination center of the police constable has yet to be revealed.
The question papers were leaked on the social media.
SEE examinations in Province 2 were cancelled after the question papers of two subjects--science and social studies--were leaked on March 28 and 29 respectively.
The NEB has rescheduled the examinations in the province from April 3.
