Two dead, 23 injured in Jiri bus accident

A bus accident Friday morning has left two people dead and other 23 injured. The bus mishap occurred at Bigu rural municipality-1, Naya Bato in Dolakha killed Dinesh Thapa of Chaukune rural municipality-3, Surkhet and Hira Prasad Mijar of Marsyangdi rural municipality-3. Furgeli Sherpa, Armed Police Inspector and In-charge of Upper Tamakoshi Project's security base, shared the human casualties in the incident. The injured are being treated at Rolewaling Hospital in Singati of Dolakha. The details of the injured are yet to come, police said. The bus (Ba 4 Kha 4573) carrying 30 workers serving the under-construction Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project met with the accident at Chhyotchhyot on the way to the main tunnel of the project.
