Quake-resilient CDC building constructed

An earthquake-resilient building of Child Development Center (CDC) has been constructed at Bishnupur rural municipality-3 of Saptari district. The building was constructed at partnership of Save the Children and Save the Saptari with coordination of Bishnupur rural municipality and the school under the Samunnati Program. The building of the CDC as well as modern boys and girls toilets have also been constructed at Janata Basic School, Musaharniya. A total of around Rs 4 million has been spent so far for the construction of CDC building as well as toilets, said a technician Satya Narayan Yadav. Head teacher of the School, Deven Yadav, said that the support provided by the Save the Saptari and Save the Children has supported the children in a big way at a time when their teaching learning activities were affected in lack of the CDC facility in the school.
