The program scheduled at Tundikhel Thursday afternoon to pay last respects to the seven persons killed in the Air Dynasty chopper crash including Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari will be postponed if five bodies could not be identified on time.
Bodies of all seven victims including Minister Adhikari have been taken to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for conducting post-mortem.
The bodies of Adhikari and his private security officer Arjun Ghimire have already been identified. But that of other five including Yeti Airlines owner Ang Tshering Sherpa, pilot Prabhakar KC, under secretary Yubaraj Dahal, Deputy Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Birendra Kumar Shrestha, and Authority’s Dhurba Das Bhochhibhoya have yet to be identified.
The bodies will be taken to Tundikhel for last respects after identification.
DNA tests will be conducted to identify the five bodies if the family members cannot identify their respective bodies. Law Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal said the program scheduled at Tundikhel will be delayed if the bodies cannot be identified on time.
