The Chief Minister Rural Development Program has kicked off at all three rural municipalities of Rukum (east).
The Province-5 has brought the program into operation after endorsing the 'Chief Minister Rural Development Program Operation Work Procedure-2075'.
In a bid to reduce poverty level and improve life standards of the socially and economically weak households, the province government has started implementing the program.
It is shared that the program would contribute to enhance life standards of the people through quality education, health, employment, income generation opportunities and social protection program.
Leela Mani Gautam, program facilitator, informed that the chief minister rural development program has been operational in Sisne rural municipality Bhume rural municipality and Putha Uttarganga rural municipality of Rukum (east) – which are weak on economic and social indicators.
The province government has allocated Rs 4.69 million each for the rural municipalities to implement this program this year.
