One arrested with 18 kg of gold

The police have arrested a person with around 18 kilograms of gold from Punarbas Municipality-2 of Kanchanpur on Thursday. The seized gold was hidden in the house of a local Shankar BK. A joint team of Kailali and Kanchanpur police, Metropolitan Police Crime Division and Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has arrested the person with the gold from the area bordering India, according to Chief of Kailali Police SP Aabhushan Timsina. The team included SP of CIB, Sudip Giri, DSP of Metropolitan Police Crime Division Rugam Kunwar and Timsina among others. Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Kuber Kadayat, said that the seized gold is being brought to the District Police Office for further action.
