The Karnali Province government is set to launch a 'farmer pension program' from this year around.
The Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative Ministry is planning to provide pension to the farmers within a ceiling of Rs 10 million, a budget earmarked in the current fiscal year.
It is shared that the pension scheme was arranged with budgetary allocation to provide incentives to the farmers and boost up agro productivity.
Bimala KC, Minister for Agriculture, shared that inputs are being collected from diverse stakeholders in framing work procedure of pension program and its effective implementation.
