Gore's accomplice arrested in UAE

Police arrested a person on the charge of his involvement in 33 kg gold smuggling scam from UAE. 40-year-old Hari Khadka, a local resident of Kavre, who is currently living at UAE from the past one decade, was arrested by the local police there in UAE some days ago, informed Nepal Police Headquarters. Nepal Police Headquarters had initiated the process of issuing red corner notice through Interpol against Khadka. According to spokesperson Uttam Raj Subedi, preparation is on to bring Khadka to Nepal. A high-level probe committee informed that Khadka was Chudamani Upreti aka Gore's accomplice who was aiding Upreti to smuggle gold from UAE from some years. Earlier, his name was also linked in 33.5 kg gold smuggling scam confiscated in 2017 by Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police.
