The international exhibition on agriculture, poultry and dairy has kicked off here Friday.
Province-3 government Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative Dawa Dorje Lama inaugurated the expo amid a program organized jointly by Media Space Solutions and Futurex Trade Fair and Events Pvt. Ltd. of India.
The exhibition has over 150 stalls featuring more than 400 types of agricultural, poultry and dairy products produced by various 15 countries including Nepal and its neighboring India and China.
The expo that will run until January 27 will also provide training and seminar on poultry farming, fishery, dairy, livestock farming and agricultural farming, said Srijal Bhattarai, MSS's managing director.
Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project and various other domestic organisations working on agriculture, poultry and dairy like All Nepal Peasants' Federation, National Farmer Group Federation Nepal, Nepal Agriculture Cooperative Central Association Ltd, Nepal Poultry Federation and Chitwan Industry Association have participated, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Lama stressed the need for farmers to switch to commercialization of agriculture from subsistence agriculture.
