Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality in Hetauda is all set to welcome President Bidya Devi Bhandari on January 24.
Organizing a press meet here Thursday, Rural Municipality Chairperson Bidur Humagain shared that all preparations had been completed to receive President Bhandari for the ‘victory celebrations’ as a chief guest.
Humagain was of confidence that the event would be grand and urged one and all for their cooperation to make it a success.
During the event, a 21-km half marathon would be held from Chaukitol to Makawanpurgadhi to add extra edge to the program aimed at promotion of tourism of Hetauda, it was shared.
Two athletes from all seven provinces and participants from Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force would take part in the half-marathon.
The winner will take home Rs 50,000, the athlete emerging second in the half-marathon would receive Rs 25,000 and third Rs 15,000 while the fourth one Rs 5,000.
Half-marathon is being organized in association of the Nepal Army, according to Chief Administration Officer at the Municipality, Bhim Pariyar.
