Mother, daughter arrested with bribe at OCR

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested assistant registrar at the Office of the Company Registrar Geeta Kumari Panthi and her daughter Poshan with bribe from the office on Tuesday. A CIAA team arrested the mother-daughter duo when the mother had given the bribe of Rs 100,000 she received from a service-seeker to her daughter to keep, according to a press statement issued by the CIAA. Panthi had demanded the bribe of Rs 100,000 from a service-seeker who had gone to clear outstanding tax. The CIAA sent a team after receiving a tip-off about the bribe. The CIAA is conducting investigation on the duo.
