Speakers at a seminar here Friday have focused on proper utilization and conservation of greater Koshi watershed.
Experts speaking in the seminar organized by the Department of Forests and Soil Conservation here Friday have pointed out that the need of proper and scientific use of the watersheds connecting the way of life, civilization and culture in the federal set up.
Province-1 Planning Commission vice chair Subodh Raj Pyakurel shared that multiple utilization of greater Koshi watershed will assist in irrigation and energy sectors in the province.
Similarly, Department Director General Dr Ram Prasad Lamsal opined that a mega project could be developed to take advantage from Koshi River as it has connection with Nepal, India and Bangladesh.
Secretaries at the provincial ministries Sagar Kumar Rai and Badriraj Dhungana emphasized on proper utilization of the watershed.
Chiefs of energy and irrigation departments and concerned offices at the province attended the two day-seminar.
