International Maithili Conference 2018 to take place on December 22

The International Maithili Conference 2018 is set to take place on December 22-23. The venue for the conference is the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Janakpur. The event will be attended by the people from various walks of life including Maithili speaking intellectuals and litterateurs from both Nepal and neighboring India, and litterateurs and culture experts from other languages, said the conference's coordinator Rambharos Kapadi Bhramar. Likewise, over a dozen working papers on current issues will be presented and cultural programs organized during the conference. On the first day, a morning procession will be organized going through major thoroughfares as Mills Area, Bhanu Chowk, Shiva Chowk and Ram Chowk. Even the Janakpurdham declaration would be issued. Poetry seminar and exhibition of handicraft and Mithila folk art are other attractions.
