Two die in separate incidents in Saptari

A man was killed after drowning in a canal at Paschimi Nahar Dakneshwori Municipality-3 in Saptari Monday, the police said. Local resident Ram Babu Mukhiya, 25, drowned while fishing in the canal near his house. Mukhiya's body has been taken to Rajbiraj-based Gajendranarayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital and investigations are on, said the police. Likewise, a man was killed when the motorcycle (Ba 94 Pa 5576) he was riding skidded off the road and fell some 20 meters at Roshi Rural Municipality-11 along the BP Highway. The deceased has been identified as Devraj Khatri. Khatri died in the course of treatment at a hospital.
